Each pepper spray product has the expiration date listed on the packaging or printed on the canister. The actual expiration date varies by brand. However, most brands expire after 3-5 years. DO NOT use pepper spray after the expiration date since the effectiveness will be diminished.
When pepper spray comes in direct contact with the respiratory system, eyes, and mucous membranes, all of them are affected simultaneously. The active ingredients will cause the eyes to slam shut, uncontrollable coughing, and an intense burning sensation to the skin. The effect usually lasts 45-60 minutes.

These are the pepper spray laws we are aware of. However, we do not guarantee that they are up to date, and we are not lawyers. Pepper spray is legal in all 50 US states, however there are certain laws and restrictions in some states which restrict sizes, strength, and how you obtain them.
